Hello my name is Hookie. I'm 10 ½ years old. My 11th birthday is in October. People tell me I'm a Black Lab. Sometimes I think I'm having an identity crises; because I feel like a human. After all, I have nothing to do with other dogs. I live with a cat, but we've decided to ignore each other. However, I love to be around little kids. I especially like it when they drop their food. Oh that reminds me; three years ago, I had to go on a diet, I have to say I'm proud of my self, because I lost 10 pounds during that time. Right now, I weigh 93 pounds: although, I probably could stand to lose a couple more.

I feel really lucky, because I have, just not one family, (but two). I was adopted by my second Mom, but it is like joint custody. When my new Mom goes out of town, I get to visit with my other family. When my Mom is at work, Devin comes to visit me. I can always tell he's coming from the sound of his car. I greet him with my ducky toy in my mouth. We go walking outside where I drop my ducky. I do this to see if he'll pick it up for me. When my Mom gets home, she always gives me a pig ear treat exactly at 7P.M. Do you see what I mean about being a human. I didn't know dogs could tell time. Getting back to the subject of food, I also love baby carrots, watermelon rind and steak.

I guess if a doggy dating web site existed; my personality profile would say I'm a sweet affectionate laid back kind of dog. I'm not into wet kisses, but I love back scratches and belly rubs. I don't get too excitable, jumping up on people and such. I don't understand other dogs that bark their fool heads off. I only bark when someone is at the door. I'm really saying, "who's there" "Do I know you?" I appreciate Brandi allowing me to be pet of the month. Thank you for giving me The opportunity to express my feelings on the internet:
